Unless otherwise stated, all data are in ASCII format and are free-format. `Free-format' means that column placement does not matter and all whitespace (including line-breaks) is ignored between each word of the input. As the reading is carried out in C++ (rather than Fortran), the software does not start reading each record from the beginning of the next line.
